Diamond-T 614H exhaust fabrication

Diamond-T Exhaust Fab

The exhaust caused such a headache, it deserves it's own page. Main complication comes from the tapered frame rails and the starter being on the right side. Really, it should always be opposite from the exhaust... 4" diameter tubing doesn't give many options for routing either.

Initially we ran the exhaust straight out the front. Cut some of the parts up to make a 180° bend. Obviously with fenders this front exit isn't such a great idea, and it was pretty smoky in the cab but good enough to drive around a bit.

Tight isn't enough of a word for it. The 180° bend is from Summit. ($45) The rest of the exhaust is cut and paste from the motorhome it came from. Still need to do a proper V-band clamp, but rolling a sheet of 20-gage steel and holding with worm drive clamps works for now. Also you notice the turbo oil drain isn't hooked up yet either, clocking it has proven to be very difficult. Will certainly need to relocate the oil filter. Perma-cool 1156 is the part number for the 1"-16 filter adapter.

The rear is more simple, just up and over the axle. Strap hangers also from Summit.

Flex pipe section under cab next to transmission.
