1980 Corolla wagon
This thing is a peice of crap, from the moment I bought it. Which
is probably why I decided to buy it- being so cheap, that is. The
ultimate winter car, as it already has holes in the body.....
Plans right now are to fix the problems- which are not limited to but
include the following:
- bad motor (3 cylendars working, real high idle)
- missing muffler
- heater valve stuck- probably a frozen heater core as well.
- driver's door won't open
The only things that are good are the tranny (automatic), carpet and the
new
tires. Radiator seems to be good (i have another one if it isn't)
What I have done....
- Repaired the driver's door so that it would close. The lock
mechanism was broken. 10/3/97 $5 from a local place...
- Removed roof rack, scraped, finished and primed the rust spots.
10/4/97
- Replaced rear hatch lift. $4 10/8/97
- Recieved new muffler from Lou Fusz. $96.37+ shipping. Will be
putting it in as soon as midterms are over. 10/8/97
- Muffler in back in October, fan replaced, oil changed,
cap/rotor changed, tranny filter changed, rear seat lever fixed. 12/6/97
